James and Anthony are joined on the Cyclist Magazine Podcast by Mani Arthur, founder of the Black Cyclists Network (BCN)
Mani Arthur founded Black Cyclists Network – or BCN – in London in 2018. BCN started as grassroots cycling club with the aim of bringing together cyclists of colour, but in the five years since it has turned into a movement with members all over the globe.
Here Mani talks about his path from football into cycling (and just what his mates made of his Lycra), competing for Ghana, and the reasons why creating diversity at the top of the sport is not as easy as it seems.
