Starting in the historic city center of Verona, Italy, the Verona and Lessinia Loop is a 140-kilometer bikepacking route that follows a patchwork gravel roads and takes riders over mountains, through lavender fields, and around vineyards, offering incredible views of peaks and lakes along the way. There are a handful of charming rifugios on route for buying a meal or sleeping, and the route can be completed in two or three days.

A crew of five friends from Rolling Dreamers recently completed the loop, and they put together two detailed 12-minute videos that provide a glimpse of some of the incredible vistas, demanding terrain, and unique cultural experiences bikepackers can expect when taking on the route. Part 1

This first video captures the group’s departure from Verona and ride up into the mountains, where the rough surfaces and grueling inclines challenge them on their way to their first night’s accommodations, a rustic rifugio set against an incredible alpine backdrop.

Part 2

Part two begins with an unexpected change of plans and continues with a meandering ride deeper into the mountains before the start of the long descent back into Verona, complete with a stop at a classic Italian bar to refuel midway.
