This past weekend, Lindsay Shepard became the first person to complete a yo-yo ride of the Doom bikepacking route in Arkansas. And to top that off, Lindsay did so on a singlespeed! Congrats Lindsay!

This past weekend, 41-year-old Lindsay Shepard from New Mexico completed approximately 800 miles and 90,000 feet of elevation gain/loss on the Doom bikepacking route through the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. Lindsay is the first person to accomplish a yo-yo on the Doom route, completing the course twice in one go. And, according to race organizers, “probably the only one to do this for a LONG time.”
According to Trackleaders, Lindsay completed the yo-yo in 7 days, 13 hours, and 29 minutes. Lindsay rode a custom Brew Bikes hardtail with 2.3″ Maxxis Aggressor tires and singlespeed gearing. We’ve asked what the gearing is and will update this post when we find out.
Congrats on a super inspiring effort, Lindsay!
