The 2023 Mondraker Summum RR and R Downhill Bikes now benefit from the brand’s proprietary suspension telemetry system; MIND. Designed to make suspension setup easier for the rider, no matter how much knowledge of mountain bike suspension they may or may not have, the system makes use of LEDs to help set the appropriate sag for their riding style.

Then, during riding, it collects data on travel usage from the fork and shock, and subsequently presents that information in the MyMondraker App, where the rider can see how their suspension is performing, and make informed decisions on any adjustments necessary.

The MIND Telemetry System debuted on Mondraker’s Crafty eMTB and Foxy enduro bike in 2021, but has since rolled it out to the Super Foxy super enduro bike, the Raze trail bike, and now the Mondraker Summum DH bike… with what looks to be actual availability with pricing given for the US, UK and Europe. Such integrated telemetry is unique to Mondraker, and the system cannot be retrofitted to any other bikes.

Only the Carbon Summum Models are equipped with MIND Telemetry; this one is the more affordable of the two retailing at $9,499 USD

The Summum is Mondraker’s downhill bike, delivering 200mm of rear wheel travel through the ZERO Suspension platform. Therein, a solid rear triangle articulates about the front triangle via two links that co-rotate. These links mount the rear shock such that it is essentially floating, not directly connected to the front triangle.

The bike is piloted by the MS Mondraker Team on the World Cup Circuit, a roster that includes David Trummer, Eleonora Farina, Brook Macdonald, and Tuhoto Ariki.

For owners of the Carbon RR & R Models, gone are the days of relying purely on ride feel to set up one’s suspension. The MIND Telemetry System, comprising a sensor integrated with the fork fender and steerer tube, and a sensor positioned on the rocker link, measures travel usage at 100 times per second.

It then transmits that data via Bluetooth to the MyMondraker App, where it is presented in a user-friendly graphical format, allowing the rider to make suspension setup decisions thereafter.

Only the Summum Carbon RR and Carbon R models come equipped with MIND. Both are offered in sizes Small, Medium, Large and XL, with reach figures of 430mm, 450mm, 475mm and 500mm, respectively.

The Summum is designed around Mondraker’s so-call Forward Geometry principles, wherein a relatively long reach number is paired with a stem length adjustable between 25mm and 30mm. The latter is the Krypton DH stem, made by Mondraker’s own componentry brand, ONOFF.
