Shimano has released its RC903 S-Phyre shoes in a limited edition champagne design. While the new colour may scream decadence, it’s available at the same price as the existing range.
Shimano
The S-Phyres are Shimano’s top-tier road shoe, with the RC903s launching in September of last year, replacing the RC902s.
Shimano
The new edition will feature technology from the existing shoes, worn by the likes of Lorena Wiebes, Mathieu van der Poel and Primož Roglič, with the updated colour the only discernible change.
Shimano
Shimano added the latest BOA Li2 metal dials to the S-Phyres in 2022. BOA says the dials use a lower profile and offer increased levels of micro-adjustment, with incremental tightening and loosening.
Shimano
The Li2 dials feature as part of a crossover lacing pattern , which Shimano says creates a better fit for both performance and comfort. The champagne edition uses the same leather uppers as the existing RC903s, combined with Shimano’s anti-twist stabilising heel and what the brand calls ‘a refined toe box fit’.
Shimano
A size 42 has a claimed weight of 225g per shoe.
The S-Phyre RC903s is available in UK sizes 36 – 48 in standard and wide fits, with half sizes between 37 – 47.
