Brompton has joined forces for a fourth time with clothing brand CHPT3 to release a limited edition collaborative bike. Based on Brompton’s P Line performance model, the CHPT3bike features a titanium fork stem and rear triangle, and is 0.5kg lighter from the standard Urban model.

In keeping with CHPT3’s minimalist style, the new bike’s frameset gets a primer-esque grey paintjob with CHPT3’s signature accent red, plus Black Edition finishing kit.

The bike uses has a 4-speed drivetrain compared to the 6-speed of the v3 iteration, though Brompton says it still ‘covers all bases, from quick sprints and sustained speed to steep climbs.’

New for this model, a limited edition Frame Pouch Bag comes included with the bike, and fits inside the small triangle between the top tube and the seat tube.

Another change is the gravel-specific Fizik Terra Argos saddle, replacing Brompton’s in-house model, while the Schwalbe tan-wall tyres remain the same.

CHPT3’s founder, former pro cyclist David Millar, soft launched the bike on a ride through New York, with the KnightRyders cycling group, which features in the new short film Unfollow.
A limited number of Brompton × CHPT3 v4 bikes are now available to buy online at Brompton and in selected stores, with an RRP of £2,595 / € 3,150 (Europe excl. France) / €3,249 (France) / $3,200.
