Carrying a spare layer on winter or shoulder season rides is a must. Typically, jackets get crammed into a stuff sack, then packed into a hip pack, frame bag, or handlebar pack. 7mesh just re-envisioned how this works and created a built-in on-bike storage solution for their jacket lineup. The new Stash System jackets pack into their own pocket and strap to your bike with light and secure elastic straps, allowing you to make room in other bags for important items like snacks.

7mesh Stash System COPILOT JACKET

The Copilot is a durable, waterproof, windproof GORE-TEX Paclite Plus jacket that packs into its rear pocket. The Copilot features an over-the-helmet hood that can be cinched with a three-way drawcord, a dropped hem, elasticized cuffs, and reflective logos. A men’s medium weighs 253 grams, and a women’s medium is 224 grams.

7mesh Stash System NORTHWOODS WINDSHELL

The Northwoods is one of my favorite ultra-light windshells. It offers an ultralight minimal design that weighs just 126 grams for the men’s medium and 113 for women’s. It has a low-profile hood, hem drawcords, a dropped tail, elasticized cuffs, and not much more. The new Stash System Northwoods packs into its own zip pocket and has built-in straps.

7mesh Stash System CHILCO VEST

The Chilco Vest features thermal insulation and a large single-zip rear pocket for snacks, which doubles as the stash pocket for the vest when not in use. Like the other Stash System jackets, it attaches to the frame with hidden storage straps. The men’s medium Chilco Vest weighs 218 grams and the corresponding women’s version comes in at 106 grams.

7mesh Stash System FREEFLOW JACKET

The Freeflow jacket is an insulated, breathable jacket designed to help keep you comfortably warm using Polartec Alpha and still shed excess heat during peak workout times. The new Freeflow packs into its side pocket with a double-sided zipper, and its elastic straps allow you to clip it to your bike frame. The Freeflow is only available in men’s sizes and weighs 157 grams.
