This time around, our weekly Weekend Snapshot takes us to Virginia, Wisconsin, and Spain’s Canary Islands to check in with three folks from our global bikepacking community as they ride and camp during their time off. Find scenes from three pedal-powered trips and a link to share a snippet from one of your recent rides here…
We’re highlighting bikepacking journeys from a contrasting mix of locales for this week’s installment of Weekend Snapshot. Our readers transport us to a snowy cabin in the Midwestern US, one of Spain’s uniquely beautiful Canary Islands, and a quiet spot along the East Coast of the US. See a little about all three trips below, then keep scrolling to share a photo from one of your recent rides at the bottom of this post.
False Cape State Park, Virginia
By Simon Chercka (@simon____ch)
Photo from a restorative overnighter with frigid oceanfront camping. The sunrise was beautiful, but the northerly headwind made the return trip a hike-a-bike most of the way.

We recently spent the weekend rambling around the snowy singletrack, doubletrack, and undulating gravel roads near Seeley, Wisconsin. We stayed in these Scandinavian-inspired cabins at Roam Basecamp and took in the postcard Northwoods winter weekend, rotating between fatbiking, saunas, pizza, and campfires.
La Graciosa, Canary Islands

A quick peek at our 15-kilometer shakedown ride on the small island of La Graciosa before the Komoot Women’s bikepacking rally on the Gran Guanche.
