Our latest Weekend Snapshot shares a trio of bikepacking trips and off-road rides as seen through the eyes of three folks from across our worldwide community. Get a peek at two-wheeled journeys in Germany, India, and Spain, and find a form to share an image from one of your recent trips here…
We’re off to India and two corners of Europe for today’s edition of Weekend Snapshot. Join three bikepackers as they travel around their home regions by bike and share a few reflections on the simple joys of experiencing the world at the speed of the bicycle. Once you’ve checked them out, we invite you to keep scrolling to the bottom of this post, where you can submit a photo from one of your recent rides to be shared in an upcoming installment of this ongoing Monday morning series.

Two friends and I took some old roads near our houses for three days. The route was tough, but we were smiling the whole way. Fresh mornings and the wind pushing us forward made us discover new places, meet with other travellers, and learn a bit more about the place we live. There is so much to discover under our noses!

My friend Jayant and I had a great time bikepacking in central India last year. We were considered a lucky charm by a local shopkeeper as the region was receiving its first monsoon shower soon after the start of our expedition. The Petrichor aroma of wet earth caused by the monsoon shower aroused all of my senses and made our bikepacking expedition a memorable experience!

Having a Sunday ride with friends is not only a great way to unwind and catch up on each other’s lives, but it also provides an opportunity to stand at the edge of a hill, view the horizon as far as the eye can see, and feel a sense of peace and awe.
