The Wilde Cardinal Handlebar gets 10/10 for style. It is a 73mm rise chromoly steel bar of the crossbar design, fabricated in California for Wilde Bikes by BMX Specialists, S&M Bikes.
Wilde tells us the Cardinal Crossbar is suited to any “cruiser, mountain or country bike”, though the clamp region does have a 22.2mm diameter that would necessitate the use of shims if pairing with the a 25.4mm, 26.0mm or 31.8mm clamp stem. Wilde highly recommend the use of a stem that has at least 4 bolts at the face plate, largely because the amount of leverage that can be wielded with such a high rise bar.
The 73mm rise (2.87″) is combined with a 15° Back Sweep and a 7° Up Sweep. The bar comes at 830mm wide and weighs a claimed 793g.

The Wilde Cardinal Bar retails at $130 USD and is available in Trans Gold, Trans Black or Clear.
Those opting for the clear coat should be aware that the bar will Patina over time. The Wilde Bikes logo is a decal on top of the clear coat, while “MADE IN U.S.A” and “Wilde Bicycle Co” are stamped into the steel.
